Kizuna AI is a virtual entertainer who began her journey in December 2016. With a heartfelt desire to connect with others, she became the world’s first VTuber, amassing over 10 million followers across major social media platforms. Her activities expanded to include appearances on television programs and commercials. Now, she’s not just popular in Japan but also internationally, breaking various barriers. She even ventured into full-fledged music artist activities. In 2022, she held her solo concert “Kizuna AI ‘hello, world 2022’,” and is currently on hiatus.
Meet the iconic figure of “HARAJUKU” and “JAPANESE POP” who have captured global attention. In 2022, this artist made headlines by performing at the world-renowned music festival “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” in the USA, trending on Twitter in both Japan and the U.S. They completed a nationwide tour spanning 31 locations and held a concert at the prestigious Nippon Budokan. With five successful world tours under their belt, their influence knows no bounds.
As a pioneer in the world of virtual singers, they began their YouTube journey in June 2018. Their channel features original songs and covers, showcasing a sincere dedication to music rather than talk or introductions in performances. With a clear and transparent voice, they tackle a wide range of genres, from Showa-era ballads to anime songs, Vocaloid, and Western music, leading the way in the virtual music scene.
Introducing an idol group born from the new project “KAWAII LAB.,” aimed at spreading idol culture worldwide. The group’s producer is none other than Misa Kimura, who, having experienced idol activities herself, now serves as the general producer of “KAWAII LAB.” while also working as a model and talent. With the concept of “From Harajuku to the World,” they aim to emanate “NEW KAWAII” from Harajuku, a hub of diverse culture and individuality in the fashion-forward district.
It could be regarded as taboo to reveal your “real” self even though you are established on the internet with a “virtual” self. SHOWCASE will be launched for those individuals who want to express themselves despite their virtual presence and be “selfish” in pursuing that motive. SHOWCASE will engage in various live activities through both “virtual” and “real” world endeavors. Let’s create a new form of VTuber together with the fans from scratch in SHOWCASE!
